Weakly deformed, Jurassic, subaerial volcanic succession and epithermal Au-Ag province

Objectives: Provide expert advice on the character of the volcanic succession, its setting, the kinds of volcanoes present and their likely locations, and the kinds of volcanic rocks. Aimed at developing a realistic and accurate geological model and geological context for mineral exploration.

Deliverables: On-site logging of drill core and field traverses, on-site oral presentation summarising results, written report (66 pages, including simplified and detailed logs) giving descriptions and interpretations of all the major units, possible correlations within and between projects, and a reconstruction of the volcanic setting.

 

Western Nakfa Terrain, Eritrea

Deformed, metamorphosed, Neoproterozoic submarine volcanic succession and VHMS district 

Objectives: Provide expert advice on the kinds of volcanic facies present, their relationships, and modifications due to hydrothermal alteration. Aimed at improving the existing understanding of the architecture and stratigraphy, and developing a realistic and accurate geological model and geological context for mining and mineral exploration.

Deliverables: On-site logging of drill core and field traverses, on-site oral presentation summarising results, written report (49 pages, including simplified and detailed logs) giving descriptions and interpretations of all the major units, proposed stratigraphic correlations within and between deposits, a reconstruction of the volcanic setting and definition of the setting of ore lenses in relation to the volcanic stratigraphy.
